We just spent the weekend up in Langley and Cloverdale, BC, for a flyball tournament. Though neither Fridley nor Clarabelle are ready for racing, they both got a sense of the excitement of the tournament environment. Best of all, though, after we arrived on Friday - and again after a day of races on Saturday - we got to take our friend Brekkin the Border Collie up to Dogwood Park, in White Rock. It's the nicest dog park we've ever visited. Fridley and I had been there once before. Great romps were had by all three dogs, who got seriously mudded up in the ponds and trails of this mostly forested park. It'spring in BC, so it was a lovely time for us humans, as well. The park is comparatively easy to find, on 20th Street. Fresh water is provided. Sunday, 1 February 2009
Two weeks ago, Clarabelle finished up her second round of flyball classes. She'll be practicing with the team from now on. Hopefully she'll get more interested in retrieving balls, but she's doing great with the jumps and box work. Today, Fridley started class. Good luck, Fridley! Newer | Latest | Older |
