Clarabelle Starts Learning to Play Flyball

Topic: Piedog Foundation Updates

Today, Clarabelle started taking flyball class, up at Dog Days Training Center, Vancouver, Washington.  If she's successful, she'll become a member of the Portland Tailblazers team, along with her cousin Kiva. So far, I get kind of a "what the heck are you making me do" kind of reaction. Tomorrow she will start basic companion obedience, also at Dog Days.  Attached are photos of her romping at the off-leash area at Happy Valley Park, just south of home.  It's the closest fenced dog park to our house, two small fenced areas in the midst of a much larger city park.

Clarabelle Joins the Journey

We got a new member of the Piedog Foundation late tonight!  Her name is Clarabelle Tailfeathers, or Bella, and she came from a family that lives in Florence, OR.  She's an Aussie with a full, spectacular feathery tail.  She's 2 1/2 years old, and very sweet and - at present - insecure.

Thanks so much to Jonae Armstrong and her family for bringing Clarabelle up from the coast.

New Headquarters

Topic: Piedog Foundation Updates

We have a new headquarters for the Piedog Foundation, in the Far Southeast of Portland, Oregon.  Yesterday was the closing and today we took possession.  Cousins Kiva and Jester, plus their Mom Jett, are moving in next door in a couple of weeks, so we've combined 2 small back yards to facilitate romping. Right behind the house is Gilbert Primary Park, so we had a gate put in the fence for easy access to the park.

Tonight we arrived in Lincoln City, Oregon, to the temporary new International Headquarters of the Piedog Foundation!
